Hey guys,
i recently moved in and im having an issue with only ONE channel but its one i really wanna watch  i get the E38 error. Now the place i moved into only has one LNB connection and a normal coax connection with that. i plugged the one connection in and it ran all the scans and picked up all the channels but only that one gives me the error? is there a way i can do a re-scan or is there something more serious i need to check up in.

ok guys i realised something this weekend. the apartment only has 1 LNB cable...so what ive been doing is switching between lnb ports on the decoders so i can half the channels on the one port and half on the other!
Obviously both lnbs need to be plugged in but there is only 1. Anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to run a second lnb into the room?

Short of installing your own dish with a dual LNB, your options are fairly limited...

You could also find out what kind of LNB your Body Corporate is using for the building and why haven't they upgraded the setting to accomadate PVR functionality.

Best of luck.

if you are sharin the dish with others then no you have to get your own dish and lnb, if you are the only 1 then just swop the single lnb for a twin,

Not sure if Game sells LNB's on its own, worth a squirt...if not, you can easily get them elsewhere...like Space TV and you're going to need easily cable too...

ok so the feed from the cable i am getting has all channels available but i can only watch half at a time.surely if i get a splitter and it feeds into both lnb's i will be able to watch all the channels at once ?

if you have single lnb with a spliter it wont work, im not sure how to explain it but the twin can handle more then 2 chanels (thats why it works for pvr hd pvr and xtraview) at a time but a single can only handle 1

What do I need to make two cables from a dual lnb work with an HD PVR ?

Oh, and which HD PVR has the best RF output ?

You just need a 2x4 spliter if you only have one decoder or a 2x6 spliter if you conecting a hd and a 1100 or 1132 or sd pvr or a 2x8 spliter if you connectig to hd pcrs.

as for the HD decoders from what i see they both prety much the same not any disernable differences expet the colour of the decoders |(black or silver)

oh and spliter is a multiswitch, not a normal airreail spliter
