To me the 'Gone in 60 Seconds' currently showing on eTV looks like the 1974 original to me and not the 2001 remake as stated on the EPG.

How difficult is it to get these things right?

Noticed the same thing, I think whatever system they use has difficulty with two movies of identical name. A while back I wanted to watch Joan Of Arc (with Milla Jovovich) and instead they played the old crappy version.

I saw the same thing, the EPG said staring Nick Cage and Jolie. They just pulled the wrong tape.

I was interresting to find out the Gone in 60 seconds was a remake though. The old movie used the same plot(ish) and the same names for car Elanor etc...

Loved the side burns and the guys analog car phone! with state of the art rotary dial!! hahah!

ETV sucks though, you think somebody would have noticed!

eTV was advertising the right movie afaik - the bit where they show the name of the film after each add break had a scene from the old one.

The original had an awesome car chase scene. If memory serves the lead was played by a stunt driver.

I don't think you can blame this one on eTV, Monday nights on eTV has been classic movies night for quite a long time now.

The eTV movie guide lists the correct movie so you probably find the error lies with the Multichoice guide generation software.
