Hi all, i would post this on the DSTV forums but i see they shut that down for some reason.
Anyway lets begin our story with my dad resetting the decoder to default. Ok cool, phone DSTV to get all the setup settings done because it was conflicting with the 2ndary decoder. Done.
DSTV working, but we cant login to showmax, he doesnt know the password and he doesnt have access to his work email (owns his own small business doesnt want mails on his phone) so he cant reset it. Call showmax and ask them to chnage it to his gmail. Done and can login. Try to watch a movie, "an error has occured, please check your connectivity and try again".
Unlinked and relinked the decoder in the showmax app, nada. Showmax working on the phone and tablet. Not a smart TV unfortunately.
Checked the WIFI and all is fine, as it can load the showmax catalog and all the ticks in the connectivity tool are green.
Showmax asked us to do a whole bunch of stuff which changed nothing.
Also pausing and rewinding live TV doesnt work, we have had about 3 power failures in 30 days. Could this have killed the HDD, weird because recorded shows can be watched, paused and rewinded.
