DStv adding more value to its affordable packages

MultiChoice-owned DStv is adding more value to its lower-tier packages by expanding its channel bouquets and giving customers access to content not previously available on these packages.

This includes various new channels for DStv Compact, Family Access, and EasyView customers, as well as limited access to other content.

They also have access to home improvement channel HGTV on DStv channel 177, enabling them to watch shows like Christina on the Coast and What’s Wrong with that House.

Compact streaming is not a bad deal if you're sick of all the 'woke' nonsense on Netflix and prefer Showmax anyway. Netflix may be cheaper but it's still a waste of R159 for me.

If you've ever tried to match their offering in a different country, you'd be singing a different tune. I need to have various streaming providers to get to like 85% of their content offering, never mind sports. I miss being able to have the cricket or the rugby on in the background. Here it's a scramble of which provider will actually stream this match, do they have english commentators, free trial etc. Ziggo gets me a lot, sure I can get ESPN that adds to the cost, possibly sky, but that adds as well, viaplay for F1 or F1 TV. It's not all sunshine and roses.

After years of not been with DSTV I decided last Thursday to sign up for Stream....what a useless process. As of end of yesterday I only got it working...decided not worth the effort and cancelled the subscription. What a hellish experience compared to their competitors in signing up!
