Currently I have a HD PVR 2P and 1110 decoder installed with Extraview. The current setup is a cable from LNB to HD PVR 2P decoder and another cable from LNB to 1110 decoder with the heartbeat cable between the 2 decoders. The decoders are in 2 different rooms.

Yesterday I purchased the Explora from Makro that was on special. I was advised to also purchase a Smart LNB which I did.

I now want to have the Explora as my main decoder and then replace the 1110 with the HD Pvr.

What will be the easiest way to do this installation. (Apart from getting somebody to do it)

Set up the Smart LNB first, by replacing your current LNB with the new Smart LNB. It helps to picture the dish as a clock and the bottom of the LNB should point to around four o'clock. Then you connect each cable to a Unicable output on the Smart Lnb. The explora has one input on the back so that is sorted out but then look on the back of the HD Pvr and plug the single cable into th SatCr input. Connect the heartbeat cable between the decoders and call Multichoice to set up.

You forgot something. He needs to change settings on the Explora, otherwise the 2 decoders will have the same user bands and nothing will work correctly.

So I can use the same cables I have at the moment. Can you please advise which settings I need to change on Explora ?

I have the same problem what frequencies must I put on explora(primary) and SD pvr(secondary)

I have the same problem what frequencies must I put on explora(primary) and SD pvr(secondary)

(1) The SD PVR can only be the Secondary.
(2)The SD PVR DOES NOT support Unicable connections, only Legacy connections
(3) Therefore you need a LMX 500 SLNB, because it has 2 legacy ports to be used by the SD PVR.
(4) If the SLNB is the new one LMX 501), you CANNOT connect up a SD PVR, because this SLNB only has one Legacy port.
(5) The only way out of this situation is to get a Quad or a Quattro LNB and use either a Explora 5-2 switch or a 24-1Z switch.
