DSTV Explora - remote not changing volume

When I program the A7, all the lights that are supposed to come on/blink do so in the correct sequence, but no success after.

For example: I set the A7 to learn, press V+, then press & hold V+ on the AVR's remote. The A7 flashes green twice, indicating (supposedly) that it has learnt the signal.

but when it comes out of programming mode, V+ still tries to increase the volume on the decoder and not the AVR.

Sounds like you're maybe trying to program buttons that can't be programed, try re-reading the manual. Or it just is a code that doesn't work, despite claiming to, that can happen sometimes.

I only have it on my explora ultra ddcoder, dont think that was out in 2009 "bra"...

And in December 2025 it is still an issue. Only on the Ultra though

It happened on the shitty decoders too...

No, I had no problems on my Explora 1. This is only on the Ultra that I had to get now, as my Explora 1 HDMI port finally gave in
