Hope some of the resident experts can maybe offer some advice.
So we have the Explora setup downstairs with one cable coming from the LNB to the Explora. The HD PVR 2P is upstairs with a second cable running from the LNB. The Heartbeat cable is connected. Now all this was working 100% until we had an issue with the Explora and had to take it back to MC. They swapped the unit out and that is where the new set of issues arose. Since coming back (And having gone back to MC with both decoders again), We keep getting the waiting for signal from primary message. Now the cables have been checked and rechecked and connected as they were previously.
1st issue is, before taking the decoders to MC the heartbeat was connected to the RF out ports. I have since discovered that it now needs to be on the RF in port on both the Explora and the HD PVR 2P for the "Waiting for response from primary decoder" message to go away. Every couple of days though, the HD PVR2P gets the same error "Waiting for response from Primary" Taking the cables out and putting them in again sorts it out.
How do I change the decoders to have the heartbeat on RF out like it used to be as I do not see where to set this in the menus.
2nd Issue, there was a third TV that was able to view the channels via the "eye" but since coming back from MC we can no longer watch any channels. I have tried re-tuning the TV but alas can not pick up a signal at all. Is this maybe related to the first issue?
On another note, the Explora unit we received when we took the faulty one back is apparently a "refurbished unit" and I somehow suspect that there is an issue with this, but could be wrong.
