Dstv extra view?

So we want to use our old decoder for upstairs...so everything is installed just wondering.....Do we call DSTV for them to set it up? :erm: Sorry....a noob question lol

First u need to make sure that you have the correct decoder combinations for eXtraview, If you do, then you need to setup the wiring correctly for the heartbeat, make sure you have xTraview compatible smartcards, Then activate the tvlink and get multichoice to make sure they enable both smarctards and decoders for xTraview. I just took my two decoders into a multichoice shop... Did my own wiring at home.

xtraview only works on dsd1110 or later and sd and HD pvr,

No reason why it shouldn't work

The hardest part is getting through to the call centre to get it activated.

Just make sure they have used a Splitter that allow 5 - 24 Mhz through as the heartbeat runs at 7 Mhz.
