DStv gets dedicated sci-fi block on M-Net Series

Big whoop. I stopped watching DSTV after they canned the Sci-fi channel. Only thing which will get me remotely interested is if they offer Syfy, which is never going to happen.

This is so awesome, it almost makes me want to get DSTV! But then I'd have to get a TV also..

"Television is called a medium, because it is neither rare nor well-done"

Now i know where that extra cash from the subscription increase went... so DSTV how much more do we have to pay you to get Walking Dead??

If new shows like Terra Nova are scheduled I would be tempted to re-subscribe. It would be awsome if TopTV got there first. I won't be holding my breath though.

Unfortunately they will come out here over a year after they come out everywhere else or they'll be repeats of things I've seen before. Not too excited...

I think this is a prelude to Sy-fy. They're getting rid of their sf series on Action because if they have sy-fy it becomes redundant. Sy-fy's biggest problem right now is that DSTV has so many of their shows they wouldn't be able to broadcast much in SA.

I have to agree on V never really getting my attention. Caprica was another let down.

If you are looking for classic SciFi, every afternoon on Fox Retro on Top TV ... Space 1999, Incredible Hulk, Six Million Dollar Man, and then the original Battlestar Galactica, and tonight is Man From Atlantis.
On Fox ... Buffy, Angel, Tru Calling, Dark Angel just finished (One bad thing about Fox though is that it is 4:3, even though some newer content is 16:9). These are all on the R159 package.

i want quantum leap, the outer limits and mystery science theater 3000! :D

Amen to Mystery Science Theater... After M-Net pulled the plug on SciFi I ended up downloading the entire collection... All 145 gigs of it... Too much of funny.
