Hi guys,

stupid question i have 2 hd tv's .Is it possible to watch HD content in hd on both tv's without going the extraview route? I will be watching either the one or the other so i dont need them on seperate channels.

I was told HD is transmitted via the HDMI cable id it possible to split this cable to the 2 tv's and what distance can this cable run?

Thanks for the help

Frank

Yes

you can split the signal - and use a HDIM Extender (HDMI over ethernet).

If its not to far, you can also split the signal and use a long (15m) HDMI cable).

Basically, you'd need:
1.) Splitter
2.) Extender and network cable.
3.) Remote blaster to change channels in other room.

Thats just one example.

I've used HDCabling twice, and find their advice and service excellent.

+1 to everything xrapidx said, but if you are going to spend towards R1k on splitting & extension of the signal I'd rather put that towards buying a HDPVR 2P & use that in the other room, sooner or later you'll find yourself a woman who will want to watch something else

With Ethernet cables, hassle, etc, it will probably cost almost the same anyway.
