DSTV HD PVR help with subtitles

Have HD PVR as primary decoder & subtitles enabled, but no subtitles on channel 450 (Sony).

On 2nd xtraview decoder subtitles work fine.

Any idea how to get subtitles working on primary decoder?

Are you looking at the same show on both PVRs?
Not many shows have subtitles, and they only work on "live" TV, not recordings
Has nothing to do with primary or secondary.
Do both decoders have the same software?

Primary decoder is hd pvr, secondary is the DSD 1110 (+2).

Yes, watching live tv, same show on both decoders & no subtitles from hd pvr, although enabled in menu
