DSTV HD PVR sound problem

Anyone else also experience sound problems with DSTV? The sound just die off for a few sec to close to a minute on a frequent basis. It seems that the problem stems from the PVR because the same happens with sound dialog which was ok during the TV movie transmission originally. This is becoming a frustration.

I am connected via HDMI to TV and coax to sound system. The problem is experienced on both the systems at the same time.

I have a dodgy sound issue but only on certain channels (one of the food channels as an example). Other channels working fine so I don't think its a connection issue.

Any solutions?
