DStv in deep trouble

I don't know DSTV commercials, so not sure if they could have done something like the below :

Get a Multichoice branded Android TV and spec it with 16GB flash, 3GB RAM, Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos. But the key is differentiate it by having a higher spec that what 90% of the available Android TV have ; as well as NOT locking or restricting it in any way. Sell the box at R1,499.00. Offer the ability for users to add individual channels to their account (ie R10 per channel for least popular / R20 per most popular). Work on 4K / 5.1 or Atmos sound. After a year, they'd have an indication as to what the really crappy / unwanted channels are and cull those to reduce overheads.

I think most people would gladly pay R100.00 for 5 - 7 channels they want

If you get people that still hate Multichoice, the box would still be better value than what is available & people would still opt to get the box

It will be interesting to see how much international content is left on DStv once Canal+ takes over.

Hold onto your butts folks, I sense a lof of things being in "deep trouble" on MyBB going forward!
Let me try: "MyBroadband in deep trouble"

MyBB is in deep trouble. It has resorted to a practice called click baiting. Click baiting is the practice when a news site over dramatize the headline. News sites that are really good at click baiting include CNN and these are known as master baiters.

Don’t see why they couldn’t do that simply within the platforms they have/support but they’re a stubborn bunch with their bouquets that fit budgets first and selection of channels second.

I've always heard this talk from corporate that an upgrade or feature won't support this device so switch to a better model.

The issue with that MultiChoice doesn't base their fees on who has the more viewing hours but the quality of repeats on those channels same goes with the costs. A majority of premium consumers fees goes toward sports and M-Net, there's some channels like SABC 1-3 in which MultiChoice pay nothing for them if not almost nothing like BBC News.

There were talks of unbundling DStv but the requirement for sports lovers is that they pay for the entertainment package which is cheaper than DStv Premium last I remember but not Compact+.

These scumbags appear to think they’re going to rescue their garbage corporation by having EFF types cold call me incessantly all day.

I wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire. Any CVs that land on my desk go straight to the bin.
