Hi

I just moved into a new complex, they have a DSTV dish on the roof for everyone, I thus bought the decoder and ordered a dstv bouquet. I need to know what cables I require to connect from the wall socket to the LNB in my decoder, I called DSTV and they said I need a LNB?? What is this and where can i get it

Oh, didnt realise I needed too, assumed it was just "plug and play" as everything was already setup

yip it could be

if the dish is not 100% you will have poor signal quality, although you can adjust the signal yourself its just better to pay someone to make sure everything is 100%

if you all share a dish then you'll probably just have a jack on the wall where you will plug into and won't have to buy a lnb

In those scenarios each tennant usually gets their own frequency they need to enter manually to receive the signal.

Connect it up to the jack with the screw interface and the same on the decoder.

If it doesn't pickup after say 5 minutes conatct the caretaker.
