Dstv is just too expensive

Dstv is just expensive....are they setting their prices so high because they lack competition or what.
With the number of repeats I see it's just not fair.....actually ridiculous is the right word.

Supply and demand within a protected environment created by an incompetent government.

At the current price there is still more than enough demand so expect to see the price rising even further.

The only reason it's so expensive is because there are still so many suckers willing to pay. If enough people started cancelling their subscriptions maybe they would reconsider the price.

I doubt most of those township viewers are watching the premium subscription. The cheapest DSTV subscription is R29 per month. The main issue is the cost of the premium subscription which is currently close to R700 per month, plus an extra charge for HD and an extra charge for the privilege of using the PVR functionality.
