DSTV issues

Anyone else picking up DSTV issues? I live on the East Rand and dual view decoder keeps freezing up with "Programme map not found" and E38 messages whenever you change channels. Reboot of decoder has not solved issue :wtf:

Had this last night. Saw there was a software update for the PVR 1. Downloaded it and it seems to be running better today. New software is L23 up from L21

Phone them - they can sort most things out lickity split.

Getting the occasional E38 too. Happens rare ly so I dismissed it a fluke/minor instability.

The trick with DSTV is to start with low expectations.

yes prior to this new L23 upgrade I thought I was 1 of the lucky ones in that my SD PVR worked well with no issues, now since this new upgrade - I have a few issues when the PVR comes out of sleep mode it does not load the menu!! or "no information" and when I change channels it HANGS!! last night it just crashed!! on BTV the menu characters just "blink" on & off WTF also noticed that it sometimes only display 2 lines in the menu's

has anyone had this problem when u change channels and there is "NO PICTURE!!" but then when u switch back to that "NO PICTURE" channel again, then there is a PICTURE?? WTF

Upgrade L23 was issued in Sept. I think something else is causing theses problems. I have the same thing and have been using L23 for while now without hassles only started problems yesterday

Sometimes during the day It pops up but then resolves itself after 5mins...

My decoder is still acting up. If I press information on some of the channels like 101 then the time of the programs is 2hours behind but then it flashes to the right time and shows. A second later it flashes back to incorrect. Keeps doing that. Am I the only one?
