I have great difficulty in understanding how Multichoice chose the phones to first get the app. I mean, seriously, Samsung first? And then all the old phones? Come on, the newest phones should surely be listed? I've got a Sensation, but can't get it. I've also got the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and also can't get it on that! By the time the promotion (free to Premium subscribers) ends, that's when it will be available! Sucks big time!

No, neither is there a Symbian one.

Nor support for most Android devices.

And it does not work on my iPod 4G any more.

Big-time breach of contract by DSTV - all of this was promised by 1 April 2011.
 
I think DSTV should extend the free period for premium subscribers! We bought our drifta's ages ago, because we we're promised April android apps. That was misleading.

Joke is when people, made the app available for other android devices DSTV was quick to send out "Take down" notices.

Maybe they should go ask legal to create applications, they much faster in responses than the rest of the company.

there wont be a symbian one as Nokia has its own DVB-h headset so i doubt they will make an app for the drifta

And you have a iphone 4g? really odd that it stoped working on a phone that does not yet exist :D

Ipod 4th generation doesnt have wifi or video playback capabality, it did have a picture viwer though snazy for 2004 / 2005 :D

I think you mean Ipod Touch (4th generation)

I know too technical but still i have to mention it :D

Wow, nitpicking.

Considering the thread is about Drifta apps and Jola referred to the iPod 4G I'm sure you can extrapolate that the reference wasn't to the 2004 model.

When was an iPhone 4G ever mentioned?
 
Yes, and the iPod (Touch) 4th generation does have wifi and video playback - it is the current model !

Unfortunately my Drifta firmware has been updated, so the iPod Touch 4G no longer works.

This may also mean that the iPhone 4 will not work with the new firmware on the Drifta, considering that the software on the iPod Touch 4G and the iPhone 4 is identical except for the phone related portion.

I highly doubt it.

The people that would push for it already have the "fixed" app so could not care less.
