So, Multichoice are officially launching DSTV Mobile some time in August.
R59 per month or R19 per week, which seems fairly cheap considering you get 2 SuperSport channels, 2 Music channels, 2 Cartoon channels, an Entertainment channel, a Movie Trailer channel, the Big Brother Africa channel, the Idols Extra channel, a News channel, an African channel and a Weather channel.
But here's the rub: The service is subject to a fair-usage policy which is, in itself, understandable. What is NOT understandable is what constitutes "fair-usage". 45 minutes per week or 180 minutes per month.
That's laughable.
So basically, in order to avoid having your service terminated by Multichoice, you're allowed to watch about half a soccer match every week or alternatively, just over an episode of Spongebob.
See the article HERE.
Honestly, sometimes I can't help but feel like Multichoice is run by a group of autistic baboons with a propensity for poking themselves in the eye and flinging poo at little children.
