I was hoping those with the relevant experience would be able to help me because trying to get assistance from MultiChoice is near impossible.
I currently have DStv now installed on my android TV box and it works, but the resolution on the supersports channels isn't great. I've checked it on several devices, and for some reason only supersport 1 resolution is decent. The rest aren't great. I know the DStv now app has adaptive bitrate, and I can see when the channels improve after a few moments once it detects your line speed , but the supersports channels just don't adapt (other than supersport 1).
As a result of this, I'm considering buying a Chromecast device to cast DStv now, but I don't want to waste my money knowing that it's going to do the same thing the DStv now app is doing with regards to the sports channels.
Has anyone tried streaming DStv now via Google Chromecast, and how is the resolution? I watch via my laptop and it's wonderfully clear, especially since you can select your resolution, but the app on devices doesn't. I don't want to connect my laptop to the TV so hence I got the android box, but I'm not happy with the resolution. I have a 10mb fibre connection at home.
