DSTV Now isnt working

Hi Guys



Does anyone else have issues when streaming on DSTV Now? I've tried both via my Apple TV and my LG TV app and both generally time out without starting the session. I'm running on the lowest resolution and if I'm lucky I get to watch one show a day - if I'm lucky. Netflix and You Tube works like a bomb but not DSTV Now. I often have issues when trying to access international sites off my cell phone but when this happens I can just flip over to my Vodacom 4G network and the site motors. Unfortunately I cant flip over to Vodacom when I stream.



My ISP is Cool Ideas and last mile Fibre provider is MTN. Anyone else have this issue? Can MTN be the problem? I thought my line speed may have been the issue, even though Netflix was just fine, but after the upgrade (50MB) nothing has changed. I’ve logged the issue but I suspect that this is going to take a while to understand what the issue is.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Had the same problem this morning now its working again.
 
Problems this morning (AppleTV/Vumatel/MWeb). Fine now.
 
Maybe an MTU thing, which happens often with MTN. Which router are you using?
 
If you use smartdnsproxy.com / getflix.com.au it could be them, they allow foreigners to stream dstv and are always screwing it up.. i switched to expressvpn because they don't do dstv now.
 
Hi have the same problem. Its been like it for a month or so...so I have stopped watching DSTV and is in the process of canceling my subscription...

Cancelling with us?
 
I had issues with DSTV when using a "smart" DNS. I had to switch it off to get DSTV now to work.
