DSTV Now - Renderer error occured: Required Output Protections are not active

Hi Guys

I have an Nvidia Shield, used to run DSTV Now and ShowMax without any issues until last week when it started coming up with this error in DSTVNow "Video Playback Error - Renderer error occured: Required Output Protections are not active"

I reset the box back to default settings and tried again without any improvement.

When I contacted DSTV to find out what the problem was, they told me that there are security changes from time to time and that it is more than likely they cause, Unable to help me any further as the device is not supported.

Any ideas from anyone on what the cause could be and how to sort it out?

Did you root your device or install anything new recently?

Nope, was the HDMI cable, unplugged it and then plugged it back in and all working now.
One of the guys on the Shield thread suggested it

Also tried resetting the box and reinstalling software.
Worked for a while and then started coming up with the error again.
