DSTV Now

Since yesterday, I can't get certain sports channels on DSTV Now Live when using the DSTV Now app on my Android TV, like 201, 206, 211 and 212.
Other sports channels are streaming fine.
I also can't get them when streaming through a browser.
Does anyone have any idea on what I can do to fix this? I'm assuming its a problem on DSTV side.

I am having the same issue - i can watch EPL football but not URC rugby. Also all the on demand work for me.

Irritating error message : "Sorry we're unable to play this video right now, something went wrong on our side" - whoever is in charge of their dev needs to be shot - get some proper error message/ codes please.

A(nother) weird problem to report with the DSTV Now app following recent changes ...

Was recently trying to help out a neighbour who uses the DSTV Now app on a 2019 HiSense 50B7100UW Smart TV piggybacking off a relative's DSTV subscription. This is 100% above-board application and working within current usage limits (max 4 devices registered, max 2 streaming simultaneously).

The problem : the app works fine, except .... no audio when accessing Channel 101 (MNet) on LiveTV. All other DSTV Now channels work fine (video and audio), as does CatchUp.

Updated SmartTV firmware from V0000.01.00a.J1127 to V0000.01.00a.L1001 and then to V0000.01.00a.M0112 with no improvement. DSTVNow app is version 2.3.1 (apparently the latest is v2.3.4 or thereabouts ?) and no obvious way to update it further.

Vaguely suspecting this has something to do with the recent DSTVNow changes to clamp down on password-sharing and simultaneous streaming, but so weird that the problem is channel-specific and that the app works absolutely fine on this TV in all other respects.

Anyone else got something similar to report ?

MyHisense TV, same model has been on and off with DSTV now. I can't even update mine, wish mine would at least update the firmware. I did notice DSTV now becoming super delayed when browsing though.

Morning all. Had a similar problem from yesterday morning and spent hours trying to fix it. This included two hours on the chatline to 'Support'. It can rank as the most useless support I have ever dealt with. After seeing the posts this morning kind of realized what the hassle was. Software update. Went and updated both my mixboxes to 2.5.8 via Play store.

Now both gadgets work like a dream.

Update:
So suddenly the missing channels re-appeared on DSTV.Now, and all worked well until yesterday. Now I can't even load the sign in page, via browser or app.
So frustrating because error message gives no clear indication of the problem.
It could be my VPN, anyone else using ExpressVPN and the DSTV app?

For anyone else in the same boat, it was the VPN. ExpressVPN fixed it in under 24 hours! Impressive.

DSTV.Now is almost unwatchable.

It cannot handle a big volume of concurrent connections.
Any time theres a big event, like a Bok match etc, it keeps buffering.
Then it will jump to about 3 minutes behind live.
Then suddenly it will jump to live time and you end up missing content.

Its not my connection. My Netflix, Amazon Prime, Plex, Pluto, ITV Hub, BBC Player are all fine.
In fact I am watching the current Autumn Series rugby on Amazon Prime rather.

Any other time outside prime sport events, it works great.

In fact Im busy watching the Bok game again now, and its buffering like crazy.
None of my other streams are doing this.
