I'm getting the "device registered to a different user" error on a brand new MXIII Droid TV media player and I only have 2 devices registered (iPad and S4) and 2 changes remaining? I also removed root access from the box but still the problem persists?

Nope, the fact that all the boxes have the same device id persists and even if we get past that we not sure it will work because the box is rooted and the bootloader is open.
I can cast it using both.
It works using my laptop with the cast tab feature in chrome, the laptop is not compatible with miracast though:-(
From my phone (note 3) it works when I cast screen function in chromecast as well as using the miracast feature in the tv (lg pb6900).

If the build.prop file is edited, and spoofed into thinking it's a Galaxy s3 for an example, that may work.
Won't work as the AMLogic devices all have the same serial number.
If anyone is willing to share a temporary DSTV Now login by PM I can check if it works on my RK3288 Media Player.
The normal catchup worked before you had to subscribe for PVR access also.
BBC IPlayer, Netflix, Hulu, Youtube all work wonderful so far.
Just tested the old Supersport app and everything plays fine.
The new Supersport app is the crappiest app I've ever used.
Buffers endlessly every 5 seconds and videos are cropped 4:3 and resolution not higher than 360p, who on earth at Multichoice designed that app?
Try infusum addon in Kodi and you get light-years better quality and no buffering.
DSTV now also runs fine but can't test videos since I need PVR access.

Does anyone cast DSTV Now via chromecast or miracast. This used to work perfectly for me, but now, each time I try to cast the video remains static until casting is turned off, at which point it will start playing again.
Seems like they are blocking this feature.
Which android media players support this app? Then again, I don't want to go out and buy one only for support to get pulled for that too.

Did a speedtest on my line and about 6mbps down and 0.9mbps up. Can't stream dstv now without buffering. Went on live chat and the guy tells me that you need atleast 2mbps up to stream.
Don't understand why you need that kind of speed up to stream, maybe somebody could explain.
Next option is to pre download the episodes I want to watch, but that's also insanely slow. 1h30min for 300mb. So I que up a few downloads and leave them, but the problem is that every 10min or so the download stops and goes to pause. So you can't just let it download and comeback a few hours later.
Guy on live chat response is if you can't stream, you can't download. Basically saying I need 2mbps up to download the episodes as well.
Using chrome browser. Any suggestions? Other people having the same problems?

That's utter bullcrap.. WTF does one need upstreaming for?? It's not like you are seeding..**** even 720p Netflix streams on a 4mb line with 512k upstream (which actually is used for requesting the stream,overheads,error correction)
