I registered my DSTV Premuim bouquet with them and downloaded the player.

Not sure how they allowing the access only to Mweb ADSL users and they don't say that they don't allow any other network access via eg Vodacom 3G/HSPDA , MTN 3G/HSDPA.

Sent the support department an email from my gmail address and this is the reply I get below yet when I registed and linked my account and used the gmail.com address I had no issues.

[email protected]
(ultimately generated from [email protected])
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
host relay.smp.mweb.co.za [196.28.80.20]: 550 'Reply-to' domain matches FreeMail service used by spammers

LOL, it is a Policy on their server that does not allow any mail sent from a Free mail host like Gmail,Msn or Yahoo. Thus you need to send it from a Payed mail account like "[email protected]"
or just use your work e-mail account...

Ok - so I've given DSTV on demand a whirl. It's very quick and easy to sign up and get going. The interface works well, and is intuitive enough - I'm using the desktop application. Videos load quickly and I haven't had any buffering during an episode of Carte Blanch. Overall, not a bad offering at all.

But... and it's a big hairy one :-( The video quality is very poor (In comparison with a 350Mb episode of 24 or Chuck).

Cool concept, and I would definitely use it if the quality were better. Nearly there DSTV!

That's odd. A gmail address does work.
