Hi

I enquired with the DSTV call centre and according to them I am meant to have both movies and series automatically on my DSTV on demand. I've had my hd pvr for a year now, and have never got movies on demand. Is the call centre mistaken or am I missing something?

When I go to DSTV On Demand I see Series and MNET Therefore I can only presume that the movies they are refering to is the Mnet movies. The only problem I have is, how does one request an "on demand".

As far as I know, On Demand cannot be requested. DSTV decides which shows will be shown On Demand. And in the beginning there used to be movies, but no more. The only thing I can think of is Box Office. That's probably what the Call Center is referring to.

There are two things downloaded to the HDPVR, (1) DsTV on Demand (usually things like series, etc), which are freely viewable to qualifying subscriber, and (2) the Box Office movies, which can be 'rented' by paying a fee to access them and view. I think they may be 'package' specific, e.g. I am a Premium subscriber, and the may not be available to, for e.g., Compact subscribers (I'm guessing here - try the DSTV forum for the answer)

Box Office is movies
DSTV on Demand is series & sport highlights

They also have Mnet movies and series on demand on the same page. Atleast on my HD PVR it is so. Press another key for sport.
I suspect, I must check, that Smurfatefrog may be right, as far as ondemand requests are concerned.

Box Office is R25 a movie extra!

Mnet Movies? Is this full length movies, because the only Mnet things I get on demand is Carte Blanche and Series. No 2 hour movies. The sport highlights are also more or less 5 minutes long but this is sufficient.
