Hi all,

I'm trying to make up my, maybe some of you can give me some feedback.

I currently have a dsl384 and only mnet, I had dstv but cancelled it a while back when I didn't get to watch that much, now it's the season for world cups and a lot of sport and I'm home alot more.

SO basically I can either go from my 384 to a 1mb/4mb adsl or use the extra money to get myself dstv again.

Oh yeah can any one tell me what the difference between mnet and dstv subscription is? I know dstv is R419pm but I have no idea what mnet currently is.

Any input would be appreciated.

hmmm, unless you already know what u'll be doing that requires the extra 3mbps bandwidth, theres not much you can do with 4mbps that u cant do with 384kbps. if i had to choose, i'd go dstv. it would be another story if i didnt have adsl at all to begin with

MNET is around R229 per month (price increase usually in april for mnet & dstv). R229 is quite high for a single channel, considering that you can just add another R200 and get 55+ channels.

Telkom & Multichoice.......... hmmmmm, i hate them.... !!!! sack both, then u'll have sum bucks to watch the sport at pubs with a couple o beers!!!!
:D :D :D :D

I would go dstv as well. The 4 mbit is tempting, but what are you going to use it for really?

Thanx every one, yeah I wish we could have decent competion in both those fields!

Yeah, I have all the dstv gear aswell. hehe I must make up my mind!

If you upgrade your line you'll definately need to get a bigger ISP account cos you'll download more, so the cost will be more, rather take the dstv.

Another DStv vote here...like you said sporting season is coming soon so it'll be better to get DS. After a few months I'd switch over to ADSL 4Mb, by then Neotel should be up and running..

:) Im sure DSTV has more to offer than a high speed link to nowhere . Your 384 will do just fine and more, because if you with IS you only get International speeds of mmm 56k
