On the odd occasion I've switched to Channel 110 (Action) recently, the swearing dialogue is blocked-out & so are religious references to God (as in ''Oh my ....").
I thought parental control might've been default-set to a lower age-group by DStv on my standard decoder, and when I checked found the status to be :
So, my question is, why they apparently give full access to movies via parental control settings, then take steps to 'protect us' from ourselves & the rest of the world ?
I'm not in favour of swearing in movies, but if it's part of a movie & is blocked, it's incredibly frustrating to sometimes have regular breaks in the dialogue. I stop watching, immediately - like reading a book with missing pages in every chapter.
By the way, to check these settings on a standard decoder if you don't know, select :

You have selected NO BLOCK.
All programmes are clear for viewing.
