DSTV pin codes

I guess with a (OTA) software update to my 990 decoder they changed the pin codes for TV installation and dish installation and all that, they used to be 9949 and 9929, i tried 0000 and 1234... nothing works now

any1 know what they are?

mines not 9949 anymore , neither is my dads 9949 anymore

Try unplugging it from the mains and then try 9949 again. Otherwise post on the dstv.com forum and a techie is sure to help you.

The DSTV decoder's pin code can get corrupted when a software update fails. To reset the code you need to select "restore factory defaults" from the menu. After that 9949 should once again work
