Hey guys,

I have a DSTV Explora connected via Ethernet.
Catchup Plus content is downloading abysmally slow.
All other downloads on the network hum along at up to 1MB/s.
I'm only managing in the range of 150KB/s to 200KB/s on Explora downloads.
Any ideas? Similar experiences?

PS: My line is unshaped 10mbps. It's running a-ok at the moment for other content.

Regards,
SD

Same here also getting real slow speed even when i use my VOX fatpipe or Afrihost Capped account. got a 10Mb line and its just horrid with catchup plus

Got myself a CrystalWeb 1GB free account and will try that out.

Tested CrystalWeb and it's surprisingly worse - around 150kbps on Explora downloads.
Other downloads are unaffected so no line issues. :(
I'll post a full CrystalWeb test on the ADSL thread tomorrow. It's not looking good. Very very erratic throughput.
Variance is currently 2.5mbps to 10.8mbps - yuup. That's like hitting full line capability. Sadly it does not last.
Would be great if anyone has some other ideas re my Explora frustration.

Okay so either everyone was away for the long weekend or Multichoice has sorted out their issues.
Catch-up Plus content has been steaming through for the past two days. Getting really good speeds.
Can use the 'Watch Now' feature. The buffer now stays well ahead of playback.

From the issues experienced I'm guessing that the lack of HD content has to do with Multichoice's concern that they might not have adequate uplink bandwidth to satisfy the demand.
