DSTv porn possibility backlash

Dear DSTV

I am for the Porn Channel and I am not ashamed to say it. I will be one of your subscribers which will certainly pay for this channel and therefor request that you make this possible.

I know there are so many Institutions and people who will not be happy with this but after a few years, it will become the norm to watch porn on TV.

These people who are against Porn, have to realise that DSTV do have a function available where you can set the decoder on a age which is appropiate to watch.

Also, I'm sure that DSTV will bring in this Porn channel on a bouquet where one have to pay for this to be shown on their TV's. So if you don't pay for it, it will not show on your bouquet.

I ask you this question: Once she is an adult what right do you have to decide what she is and isn't allowed to do?

Dear DSTV, I agree with the above, but will not pay extra. You already charge so much we should get at least 1 porn channel included in the bouquet you rip-offs.
Especially since you make us put up with having what, 3 or 4 religious channels. (did I miss the poll on those? Cos they should definitely be age-restricted)

EXACTLY what I was thinking, porch. His poor daughter, I wonder what other decisions she won't be allowed to make for herself ones she "grows up".

Hmm, you have a point! Let's ask them to do a swap - they can take back the three-odd religous channels I never wanted and never watch, and give me one good porn channel. I think it's a fair deal! :D

not at my CNA, there's a whole Seperate Shelf dedicated to porn - AND they can be read by anyone, AND there are plenty of kids around

DSTV though, WILL be limited to adults only....they even already have the parental system in place, ready and waiting..
 
I say ban the religious channels because they could have a negative effect on my childs IQ - if she watched them, which she doesn't.

Only the really hardcore stuff like your Hustler - but walk into almost any CNA, look for the biggest gathering of males in the magazine section, and you've found the adult section, hehehe!

I had this argument with my teacher and she also agrees that all rapists have access to porn. and they all want more in life. I tried telling her about the countries that had big access to porn with low rape she just said it was disgusting.
My friend made a valid point that rapists are just sick mentally in the head and watching porn might trigger them to rape but so many others will do to. like seeing someone in a swimming costume.

Certain people are quick to link porn to all sorts of crimes, because it suits them to believe that. When Alfred Hitchcock found himself accused of of motivating a murder through his film, 'Psycho', he replied that he would agree that his film caused the man to commit murder if his accusers could also prove that exposure to the preceding adverts had made him go out and buy those products, too.

Fact is, there are many sick people out there, but if we banned everything that might be a 'trigger' for their actions, we'd have nothing left. Rape is in any case a crime of violence, domination. In many incidents the rapist doesn't even ejaculate - it's not about pleasure, it's about hurting the woman, making her subservient. Porn might be a trigger for some of them. Having a female boss might be a trigger. Being ticketed by a female cop might be a trigger. But to blame the world's ills on porn is short-sighted in the extreme.

If you don't like it DON'T EFFING WATCH IT. I don't like those idiotic religious channels so i don't watch them. Big deal.

If you don't want your kids to watch it MAKE THE EFFORT TO LEARN HOW TO USE THE PARENTAL CONTROL FEATURE.

Wtf is this? Are we still living in the middle ages?????
 
Do we get live sex shows in SA? Imagine what they'd do if that got out.

I know you get the sex party things.
