Goodbye DStv — 11 streaming services you can get for less than a Premium subscription

South Africans can get eleven streaming services for less than the price of DStv's Premium decoder subscription, and the company's Access Fee, a MyBroadband analysis has revealed.

The MultiChoice-owned broadcaster will increase the package's pricing to R929 per month from 1 April 2024, and adding the Access Fee will take the combined monthly charge to R1,049.

Can someone please give some clarity on this?

"Extra" means more than one AFAIK:



But then in the FAQ at the bottom of the page it states only one device at a time:

Honestly thought I'd miss DSTV, especially for the sport, but thank goodness I took the plunge to cancel when I did. R1k is madness.

That's typical DSTV lol.


Extra Stream is mobile only. So one main stream on a TV/Streama decoder and one mobile-only stream. I guess they didn't update the FAQ.

Thanks - they should then also add the word "mobile" in front of "Extra".
