DSTV Problem

Hi guys,

I need some help please. We have 1 dst decoder in the living room, with a remote. Then we have another decoder in my parent's room. Whenever we change the dstv in the room, the one in the living room also changes, we can even see the info bar. The decoders run off one dish. The other problem we have was that when the dstv in the room is on a certain channel, the one in the living room just cuts out and says searching for signal.

Any help with this please?

Yeah that's what I also thought but I have no idea how to rectify it.

For good advice post on the DSTV Forum. It sounds like the remote settings (on HDPVR menu) have not been set up properly

In the XtraView menu, set the one decoder to respond to remote 1 and ignore all others. Set the second decoder to respond to remote 2 and ignore all others. Then set teh remotes accordingly...

Oh. Sorry, missed that. That is why troublezn asked about the multiswitch... Sounds like a switch or LNB issue. I would get the installer out to assist with that.
