It might be quicker instead to turn it upside down and fast-forward it.

I think that only works with WD drives. Seagate have to be the right way to rewind them.

I hear the new SSD drives will have an external rewind button though.

Sounds like a software issue. Don't Multichoice service centres have a firmware reset facility (for lack of a better word). Rewind is a feature that should work.

I don't have a PVR, so I'm guessing. Still in single-view, argument land over here
