Anyone else notice that recorded programmes that might not run to the correct times get chopped off in the middle ?

I tried recorded the boxing Sunday morning and the main event died in the middle of round 4. Info of recording was already showing 10 minutes into the next programme which was supposed to be IPL cricket

Not the first time and it seems to be becoming more of a regular occurence

When I still had my SD-PVR, if there was an open ended sports event, like Moto GP or Formula 1 or Wimbledon Tennis, which could have delays and postponements often affecting the end time, I would rather set a Manual Time Based Recording on the PVR than using the inherently unreliable EPG, which is prone to chopping off recordings as the software does NOT compensate for unforseen time changes once a recording has been set off the EPG.

I would always set the end time to AT LEAST an hour after the EPG stated end time - just to allow for this sort of issue!

True, but to get around this, now what I do is record the next program as well!
