Hi, I bought a house with a bachelors flat.. I want the house and the flat to be "DSTV ready"

I was thinking of using the following setup:

1 x dish
1 x LNB(4 x 4)
http://www.justelectronics.co.za/elsat-universal-p-110.html

Two of the cables will be running to the bachelors flat and the other two cables will be running to the house..

Would I be able to connect the following decoders using that LNB and both the house and the flat should use separate DSTV accounts..

Flat:
1 x HD pvr decoded

House:
PVR or STD decoder

Will this setup work?

Yes it will, that's the best way to set it up cos it allows both locations room for expansion.
You might need a multiswitch though depending on which HDPVR you have/want. New 2P will be fine as is, 4 tuner ones will need a 2x4 multiswitch

btw, its more commonly know as a Quad LNB, so call around & you should be able to get a better price then that

depends in the house are you using and HD pvr(old daddy or new baby) or sd PVR. if sd pvr wont work.
if new HD pvr you will need 3 cables in the house (2 for HD decoder and 1 standard decoder)
if old HD you will need 5 cables in the house (4 dor HD decoder and 21 for standard)

also on the flat whci HD you using old and new.
what you will need is a multi swich in the house a 2x4 if the new HD and a 2x6 if the old, and for the flat if the new HD then you only need the 2 cables form the LNB but if the old HD then a 2x4 spliter.

as for the pice of the LNB, look at the bottom of the lnb thers the x cruiser it work fine for dstv and is R100 bucks cheaper.

Well, basically I am looking to lease the house to someone and I will be staying in the flat, I bought one of the new HD pvr 2P and will use it in the flat so the two cables I'm directing to the flat should be sufficient?

What option would the person leasing the house have with the two remaining cables?

2 x std decoders?
1 x STD/HD pvr decoder?

Would I be able to use the extra view option in the house or flat maybe in a few years time?

How exactly does the extra view option work, would I be able to use 1 account for both the house and the flat, does extra view involve extra costs?

R65 extra, but if you already have a PVR then you pay that R65 anyway
Basically connect the 2 decoders with a cable & yes both on the same account

Thanks! This is exactly what I wanted to know! Thanks for all the help!
