I stream Supersport over my 8ta 10GB package to my laptop. This morning, wanting to watch the cricket, I keep getting an "insufficient bandwidth, please upgrade your internet connection message" from the supersport site. Thing is, when I do a speed test I get 5Mbps down and 2Mbps up. Surely that's enough to stream?

And those two, I believe they adjust according to your speed. If you're 500Kbps it's more grainy. If you 5120Kbps it should be super clear.

Yea the DSTV player seems to be very dodgy. For me in Firefox 10.0.1 the player menu keeps poping up and pausing the video. :(

As do I - watch a ton of sport this way, but for some reason it isn't working today. The links Khanya sent are working well though.

Maybe just clear cache etc and try again. Sometimes it acts up but most of the time it works well.

PS: I tried the Skyfire browser on my S2 and it works with SS streaming :)

My phone, over wifi, is giving the same issues - so it's not the laptop. It's either my 3G or something from Supersport self. Weirdly enough the native browser crashes when I try stream direct over Vodacom, on wifi it works though (but not today).

Glad Skyfire works! I still find it strange that there isn't an option to deactivate mobile view on the S2's native browser.

EDIT: the native browser crashes over wifi too.

How much data do you burn streaming cricket esp via 8ta?

I'm not sure, I've tried figuring this out but haven't really worked it out yet. The short answer is, not too much - and since I have 10GB I don't mind using it. I guess it's probably in the region of 60-70MB an hour?

That's a strange thing to have happen, especially since it used to work. Maybe try killing the connection and trying again? Unless SS made some changes to their site.

Thanks :) It is strange ya, but it's good enough for me to watch :)

I'm on 18.0.1025.33 - on a Mac though, not sure if there's a difference.

The Sri-lanka v Aus game is working fine now, by the way.
