DSTV Streaming with pi-hole

I would say that since about 2 weeks, I cannot load the DSTV streaming app on my android phone if my pi-hole is active. My pi-hole is configured to use cloudflare (1.1.1.1) as its upstream DNS resolver.

If I enable ExpressVPN or change the connection settings on the phone to go direct to 1.1.1.1 then all is good.

It seems the app is not allowing local DNS IP's.

Is anyone else experiencing this or similar behaviour.

Is there anything on my side that can be causing this, as I said it all worked fine until very recently. I assume there was an app update maybe.
Very confused.

That looks purely cloud based. No dhcp, no local dns and its not free.

Allow everything and check what Pi-Hole is blocking. Allow those through?

Sure there's a free version and it'll soon have all the community ad lists for the free version as well.

I'm an adguard home user myself, but unfortunately don't have DSTV so can't help much.
