Hi

I asked a friend to buy me a DSTV link eye and when i got it i was just so excited i just opened and installed it on my bedroom tv. Picture and sound was 100% but my only problem was my remote not working on the eye. Finally i read the package and discovered the link eye was for Dual View or PVR decoders, i own a standard one. Is there any way to make the eye work with my remote, or i have to buy a new link eye that works with my remote.

Which standard decoder do you have the eye is compatible with the recent single view decoders (basically if its xtraview compatible it will work 1110 , 1132 etc)

If yes then have you activated the tv link on the decoder?

+1 you have to activate it on the decoder.

I bought an eye which has a blue light indicating if its working but no go. I have a compact decoder which is connected to the main tv upstairs( -10-15m in distance) could it be the distance between the decoder - to the eye? The markings on the eye is as follows - C E SV 1010 with a number (SV9738B04) printed on the "eye" . Or can it be that the "eye" isn't compatible with the type of decoder I'm using and if there's any assistance I would deeply appreciate it as my wife an I have to watch what the kids want to watch so please help.Contact me via [email protected] thanks
