Can anybody please advise me on the following? I currently have a dual view decoder with the decoder in the lounge and TV2 in the bedroom. I want to get the new explora and the HD single view decoder with an xtra view setup. Can I use my existing dual LNB dish with the multi switch. Port A or B to the explora and one of the Multi switch out to the hd single view decoder and connect the heartbeat cable between the 2 decoders.

Thank you. How do I connect the heartbeat cable? Is it on the RF out.

The heartbeat cable can be connected to either RF in or RF out but must be opposite to othe decoder, I suggest you connect it to RF out on your main decoder and RF in on your secondary unit. Make sure the settings are correct on both decoders (menu - settings (PIN 9949 if necessary)).

It can be the same on both... RF out to RF out is the most common install done by DStv installers.

They don't have to be opposite ports (edit: damn you QT ;) )
This setting has fallen away where you need to select the port in the menu, I assume the new HD decoder also has this

Thanks guys. Did the installation this morning and everything is working perfect. DSTV had some problems setting up my xtra view. 3 calls and 60mins later, it was working.

Does anybody know why my explora is slow to respond to the remote. It was fine for the last week or so but over the last two days it's slow to respond to the remote. I have rebooted the decoder but still the same.
