I have realised now why some of my posts on the DSTV forum are never published. It seems they are flaggin individuals who are too critical. I entered the forum under a different username. My first 3 post (commenting on show content) was published immediately. Then I posted a quite negative post and since then my posts are followed by a "to be moderated" message and most never reach the forum. Once flagged - forget about getting your opinion being heard.

Thing is - with these new 'uncapped' packages and even some normal ISP prices it has become cheaper to download the series and movies I like. MC should realise that the nature of TV viewing is changing. Why pay R600 per month for content that is decided on for you when you can download what you want, when you want if for much less.

Is downloadong these series and movies still illegal? I pay my SABC TV license and these shows and movies will eventually be broadcast there. The way I see it, I am just seeing it much sooner and it is very legal.

I've been put on moderation 7 times! Twice because I spoke about ODM and the other 5 times I have no idea why I was put on moderation.

It does not suprise me, DSTV is arrogant & hates being crit. No different from any other major player with a huge market share. I have switched my DSTV off more than 2 years ago paying in excess of R500 pm for 6 hours of content per channel per day is ridiculous. ODM & other content providers will teach them a lesson we all hope. Unless they turn out to be the "Neotel" of pay tv. Go ahead download I have been at it on & off for the longest time or just buy the box sets online from US & European online vendors. Most US networks sell the box sets on their websites just weeks after a season ends. So you can pick it up even before any South African network has its hands on it. (Beware of the "uncapped" adsl hehehehe)
