If you are moving from one house to another and you want your dstv dish set up,why call somone to set it up for you and pay them when you can do it yourself?just mount your dish against the wall and check if there are any other dishes mounted on a wall by the houses around you and make your dish face the same direction the other dishes are faced and ask some one to check the tv for you and notify you about the signal,go to your decoder and press menu button,go to advance settings,go down to signal strength, and let them check the signal strength while you slowly move the dish up,down, left and right for a beter signal reading.then tite the nuts and enjoy your viewing...

This is not cool, you are going to put all the dstv installers out of business!

What about the wiring?

And you can download an app that shows you where the DSTV satellite is.

I was wondering - Since every country has its own DSTV bouquet (Moz, Tanzania, Nigeria, etc.), is it possible to use the South African smartcard and bouquet in any of those (but still paying it from SA)? Not interested in doing it, just curious.

Only the ones that are in the Intelsat 20 footprint, which DStv users in SA get their signal from. That means only really our closest neighbours. Central Africa gets their signal from a different satellite, Eutelsat 36B.
