DSTV's CatchUp Ad

Maybe it's only me but I find the Danny Glover dude in the DSTV ad very sympathetic. He seems to be doing things for his family and seems to be full of life. He messes up but he takes it with a smile. Meanwhile his aloof wife and especially his sad bratty "Yes Please" daughters put me off DSTV. Family fun and whackiness vs DSTV. Yes the boob tube is the answer. This is a bit like the Apple ads where the PC was the character more people empathised with vs the pretentious ahole hipster (Mac) Justin Long. DSTV are just idiots showing that the alternative to DSTV is so much more than their own boring, conventional, bratty BS.

Don't have DSTV, so haven't seen it, wish I could see the ad once.

Thanks... the whole ad puts me off DSTV. I'm sure they repeat it 100s of times a day to boot as is DSTVs style.

Luckily with catch up and PVR you don't have to watch ads, I am actually not even sure how many times this ad shows a day cause I've never seen it.
