Maybe i'm a bit late to the party here, but i'm at a hotel and flicked to DSTV's Comedy Central.

First, how are they allowed to use the EXACT same logo and color as the "real" Comedy Central?

This rubbish not only is showing ancient shows that are not on the actual CC, but they're so cheap they can't even buy proper series. They're doing a "Big Bang Theory" Highlights with some bad acting South African comedian every night instead of just showing the episodes. Clearly they didn't buy them and are probably circumventing licensing by only showing "highlights"

Then they are replaying another 25-yr old comedy, but for some reason dubbed the ENGLISH with South African voices - IN ENGLISH. Was it cheaper to buy the series without a soundtrack??

I mean we all know DSTV are a bunch of stupids but this is a new low lol... Comedy Central shoulld demand they stop using their logo for such rubbish.

Comedy central is a turn around channel, it's brought in with other packages and is CC Africa in away, it's not the same as CC America, it's the same as Disney, Discovery, BBC, Nickelodeon and those are all TAC they are supplied as is from the European supplier, all that happens is that the ads will be added here.
The only channels DSTV would really control are the kyknets, Africa magic, mnet, movie channels, Vuzu or whatever it's name is. When DSTV buys a channel it generally comes bundled for better value.

Possibly, though I've not watched it in years, I know they used to have a French Canadian show called lols, they probably have slots for local content.

Comedy Central on Sky has Friends on just what Comedy Central does
