Hi,

I am having hassles trying to Duel boot Vista 64bit and XP 32 bit. Both of these are OEM versions.

No matter what order i do things in, i can never get to a Boot Menu.

I started by installing XP on partition 1. Then added on VISTA onto another HDD altogether. All that happened was that my PC booted into VISTA. No options.

So tried the other way. Same thing... Now i can only boot into XP.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Roddy

did you load each operating system when both hdd where connected?

or did you load 1 on hdd then disconnect it type thing because it wont dual boot

why did oyu get vista 64bit?

I got 64 bit as they were out of 32. :( i hoped that compatibility would not be too difficult as my setup is pretty standard.

I finally managed to the dual boot working. After 3 days of fiddling (thankfully i love fiddling) i managed to get it right.

I started by installing on XP onto my second partition of my HDD. So XP installs on D:

I then ran Vista and installed this onto Partition 1. (C:\) This seems to work perfectly and i can now dual boot.

My reasoning is that that Vista renames whatever drive is it on as C:\ and thought that this might be some strange way related to not being able to Dual boot. Anyhow, my shot in the dark seemed to work.

Thanks for the replys
