Dual booting Windows 7 and OS X

Hi guys,

My girlfriend is into design and whats to use the Mac-based programs on her Windows 7 laptop. Is it possible to Dual boot Win 7 and OS X?

Can OS X be installed onto a laptop (that's not a Mac) ?

Any help here would really be appreciated

I can recommend the InsanelyMac Forums as your best bet.

Yes but it depends on the laptop hardware.

This is probably the easiest method out there and the one I used, http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/iboot-multibeast-install-mac-os-x-on.html uses a vanilla retail dvd that has not been hacked.

No, but as with all installations you should backup her data, bookmarks & email just in case. iBoot automatically picks up the windows partitions for dual-boot. You could also do a test run by installing OS X to an external drive
