I currently have one stick of 1GB 800Mhz DDR2 Transcend Jetram and want to buy another one to run in dual channel. The problem is I cannot find another one with the same model number as the one I currently have, although I can find a 1GB 800Mhz DDR2 Transcend Jetram module with a different model number.

Will I still be able to run these two sticks together in dual channel?

I think if the speed and timings are exactly the same they should run in dual-channel mode. I stand to be corrected though.

Yip, same speed and timings, and you can mix any brands in most cases (excuse the pun :p).

Do not forget chip density

Buying a chip with 4x128 vs 8x64 for instance

So as long as speed, timings, size and density are the same I'm OK?

Thanks. That's gonna save me a lot of time hunting down the same model as my other chip.
