Dual-Core > Quad-Core

Just marketing gimmick. Like 14megapixel point and shoot cameras.

lolerskates

I'm a Fandroid! And it won't stop me. So you're right!

lol quad core phones ... phfttt. i still have my xperia and xperia mini no problems ! (customized to the max ofcourse)

this is just ridiculous and a waste of money. quads should stay in pc's !! phones do not need them unless they can make google earth pop out of the screen in a 3d holographic type thing ! :D

Shame, the isheep must always wait for Apple.

No choice, you must take what Apple gives you. :p

Firstly I don't love Apple I just have an iPhone and iPad and think their MacBook Pro's are excellent build quality. Would put Windows on it.

Secondly it's still retarded putting quad cores in phones. Apple are too clever than to immediately bring this out and affect battery etc. They know their 'sheep users' wouldn't care and they know their technical users understand that iOS is so good at utilising hardware that it runs perfectly on 4 year old 600Mhz single core CPUs, further no need for quad.

Keep beating that drum and hating Apple though. What ever gets you through your days mate.

Pot, let me enlighten you with the truth. I can see you're plucking at straws here.

What really happened was that Apple couldnt stop the iPhone 5 from overheating, thats why you got an iPhone 4 again for the yearly release.

Same goes for their other hardware. Its always form over function for Apple.

And that's why Apple will never be able to give you the latest and greatest.

I have a 3GS - proof I don't need the latest and greatest. :p Don't like the 4 design much either...

The latest and greatest, to me, is unnecessary, such as quad core phones. And to a large extent used to win customers - some of whom obsess over having the greatest figures.

Sure, if a company can do quad core with the same core speed as single/duals, while maintaining good battery life... Then why not. :)

And I still have a 3G! :)

But seriously, there is a HUGE difference between a Samsung Galaxy S and the S2. The S2 is just insanely fast.

where are you pulling these "facts" from? what happened was the iPad... the S model iphone was released as expected.

They said the same thing about quad core processors when they were released for PC... "it's not necessary". I bought one of those and my new software now uses all 4 cores...

Don't fight Moore's law with Apple's holding back on technology :)
