those comparisons are the new Dual cores... my comparison was against the original Pentium D processes. Went from a 3ghz P4 D to a 2.8 C2D. HUGE DIFF... even the 2.2 beats it..

Ja, performance DOES NOT differ THAT much, my Dual Core E6300 compares to a Core 2 Duo E7400 - check out http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html

It's just the cache that is extended on the Core 2 Duo.
