Howsit guys,
I have a query and seek advice. I had a old single view decoder (with no digital out) hooked up to my Samsung home theatre via red/white audio RCA's, and my xBox audio to the home theatre via Toslink optical cable. With the function set to Tv/Video I could listen to dstv audio and if i switched my xBox on it would automatically cut the dstv sound and replace it with the xBox sound.
I have now upgraded the dstv decoder to a newer model (1110) and have hooked up the decoder to the home theatre via coaxial to improve the audio, which works fine.
Since doing this when I switch on my xBox I get no audio, and must pull out the coax connection from my decoder in order for the home theatre to detect sound from the console. It’s as if the home theatre cannot indentify source between the two digital options, but it could before with the digital/ component set up.
Comments ?
