I would like to bridging this two account so that i can get the speed 1.5Mb. i already set two pppoe connection at my router, but my router only allow one pppoe connection to be default. Anyone have any idea or do i need another special hardware?

I'm no expert on this but I don't think what you're trying to do is possible. The best you'd be able to do is set up some sort of "load balancing" between the 2 lines but you're not going to be able to combine the speeds of the 2 accounts to make ONE "supa-dupa-fast" line.

Just think about it...you're downloading a 100Meg file, how are you going get the line to download 1 file via 2 separate accounts? One session is created to the download site which can only be managed by 1 PPPoE account.

you are both a bit incorrect. Your modem synchs with the DSLAM once and creates one "channel" if you will. This channel is synched at your access speed. ISP accounts are not linked to your access speed (cybersmart is an exception but still they dont control the line speed and running 2 of their accounts has no effect on the synch speed).

In short, you cannot exceed your access speed on your package. Dont even try.

Why only one channel? That is just how it is. IPTV will run in another channel (called a separate VC) but thats beyond the scope here.

Look into RouteSentry - but you will need to switch to bridged mode on your modem. Search the forum...

it is possible, but would require our friends at telkom to enable multi-linking of the adsl lines. DOH, after reading that, its not possible, would require a better telkoms company to run the show. ;)

I have a dif Q:
I have a adsl line with Helcom and also a line with I-burst
I am using a Linksys wag200 router for adsl, is there a router that i can use to setup ADSL line as connection one and Iburst as the backup connection if adsl is not avaiable.

with the Power @@#$## we have now , the helcom goes ofline and switch over to Iburst and continue , I have a nwetwork at home and line to setup the network to use the Iburst as a backup connection. Is there any way of doing this ?

Yes, the most simple way is to get a dual WAN load balancing router like this

http://www.miro.co.za/detail.php?cat=12&sub=22&id=4899

which you can then have the ADSL & Iburst connected to it. Im using one myself and it works perfectly.

You can either have both connections running at the same time and have the router load balance the connections, which will give you the speed of both connections if you have multiple downloads, multiple browsing windows or use a download manager to establish more than one connection for the download. Also if there is more than one PC connected to the router it will load balance all the connections between these PC's

or

You can set the ADSL line to be the active connection and the iBurst as the backup. So if the ADSL line goes down the router will enable the iBurst connection automatically.

If you need more info or help PM me.
